Benefits of a Mobile App vs. Mobile Website

Are you considering whether to build a mobile app for your company or just create a mobile website that accomplishes similar functionality? This infographic by mdg advertising spells out the benefits of each direction. Native apps tend to run much faster since a smaller amount of information is needed to populate updates and stylesheets and structure are already included in the app’s initial download. They also keep your organization fresh in your user’s mind whenever they see the app launcher icon. However, mobile websites tend to have lower development cost, boost your desktop website’s search engine ranking, and connect with occasional users much more than downloading an app. Every mobile opportunity is different. If you have questions about your company’s mobile app or mobile website, reach out to us with your concerns and we will be glad to...

Shakira becomes the Most Popular Page on Facebook

As of April 2014, Shakira has become the most liked page on Facebook aside from the page for Facebook itself. More than half of Facebook’s top 25 most popular pages are musical artists, including two deceased musicians, a rock band, a rapper and pop artists. Two television shows – both animated – made it into the top 25. Zynga’s Texas HoldEm Poker and King’s Candy Crush Saga were the only games to claim a spot in the top 25 while Christiano Ronaldo was the only athlete. Aside from the Facebook brand, Coca-cola was the only other brand in the list and YouTube was the sole website. Will Smith and Vin Diesel would appear to be the most liked actors on the social media site. Here’s the full list of the top 25 Facebook pages: Facebook / Facebook for Every Phone Shakira Rihanna Eminem Coca-Cola YouTube Cristiano Ronaldo Michael Jackson The Simpsons Vin Diesel Texas HoldEm Poker Harry Potter Katy Perry Will Smith Candy Crush Saga Justin Bieber Lady Gaga Linkin Park FC Barcelona Beyonce Bob Marley Taylor Swift Selena Gomez Family Guy Avril...

Coach Digimo’s Fantasy Football Challenge: Week #2 Update

We all know it’s true: If Apple were able to patent the wheel, they would. Maybe they’re working on it? How Colors in Your Website Affect User Perception

Whether you’re planning out a new website or maybe redesigning an existing one, choosing the right colors can mean a lot to your visitors and how they perceive your brand. A recent study dives into the psychology behind each dominant color of your design and the underlying connotation it carries with it for logos, websites and marketing collateral. Over 43% of people say that BLUE is their favorite color. When users see predominately blue websites or logos, the words Trust, Strength, Royal, Loyal, Smart, Technological and Dependable come to mind. Pink is often associated primary with Feminine, Gentle, Delicate and Romantic but also makes your site feel Fun and Young. Much like green, a brown site suggests an Earthy feel, but quite the opposite of the inexperienced thoughts that may run with a green screen, brown gives the impression of Stability, Rustic, Depth,...
